Immerse in the Shekhawati region.

Mandawa

The city of Mandawa, founded in the mid-18th century, was once a town inhabited by rich merchant families. The wealthy and dominant merchants constructed massive havelis, adorned with beautiful wall paintings, as residences for themselves. However, as trade patterns changed, the merchants moved to other areas, leaving the beautiful havelis in the shadows of anonymity. Still you can experience the magnificence of these havelis and how they have changed with age, as they now they have become the major attraction of the city.
